Emergency Appeal for Pakistan Flood Victims 2022

Providing vital support to the flood-affected communities in Pakistan.

Emergency Aid to families affected by devastating flood impact

In the summer of 2022, Pakistan was hit by devastating floods that left thousands of families homeless and in desperate need of assistance. IISNA World Aid quickly responded to the crisis, partnering with MATW, who was already on the ground, to provide emergency relief efforts to those affected. We were able to raise $25,000 to provide food, shelter, and medical supplies to those in need.

We are grateful for the support of our donors and proud of the impact we were able to make in the lives of those affected by this tragedy.

Impact of the 2022 floods

The 2022 floods in Pakistan have been devastating, with widespread destruction and displacement of families. Heavy monsoon rains caused rivers and dams to overflow, leading to severe flooding in many areas of the country.

Homes have been destroyed, and many families have lost everything they own. Crops and farmland have been damaged, leading to food shortages and loss of livelihoods for farmers. The floods have also damaged infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and power lines, making it difficult for aid organizations to reach those in need.

The most vulnerable members of society, including children, the elderly, and those with disabilities, have been particularly affected, facing increased risks of malnutrition, illness, and injury.
