Bringing Hope to Vulnerable Orphans in Nuristan

The orphaned girls in Nuristan are facing challenges that no child should have to endure. War, displacement, and poverty have left them vulnerable and in need of our support. We are committed to providing them with the help they need to create a better future.

IISNA World Aid is currently undertaking works to launch a facility in Nuristan, so that we can start catering to these girls.

The orphanage facilities will include:

  • Safe and secure living quarters for up to 200 girls
  • Classrooms for formal education
  • Library and computer lab
  • Medical Clinic
  • Recreational and sports facilities
  • Vocational training workshops

Here are a few ways that your donation will help:

  • Cover the cost of materials such as paint, flooring, lighting fixtures, and plumbing supplies for the facility.
  • Ensure proper documentation and permits are obtained to comply with local regulations and codes.
  • Design and create a space that is welcoming, comfortable, and meets the unique needs of the orphaned girls in Nuristan.
  • Purchase furniture and other necessary items to furnish the orphanage and make it feel like a home for the girls.

By donating, you can provide these girls with the chance to break the cycle of poverty and hardship. Help us give them a brighter future by donating today.

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said “I and the person who takes care of an orphan will be together like this in Paradise.” [then he raised his index and middle finger together]

How Nuristan's Rugged Terrain Impacts its Communities

Nuristan, a province located in the eastern part of Afghanistan, is known for its rugged and mountainous terrain. While the area is rich in natural resources and has a unique culture and history, its geographical features also pose significant challenges for its inhabitants. The mountainous terrain limits access to basic services such as healthcare and education, as well as makes it difficult to transport goods and supplies. Harsh winter conditions and a lack of infrastructure also impact the ability of communities to access resources, particularly those living in more remote areas. As a result, the communities in Nuristan often face significant hardship and struggle to access essential services, making it difficult to thrive. Despite these challenges, the people of Nuristan are resilient and have a strong sense of community, working to address the challenges they face and create a better future for themselves and their families.
